In his recital in Zweisimmen last year, the pianist also played three short pieces by Bach. It goes without saying that his performance was perfect. More so, it was fascinating how he invited the audience to rediscover Bach and his sound.

The works of Franz Schubert are the great passion of Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi. “I always feel the need to immerse myself in his music,” he told Gstaad Digital Festival. The artist describes Schubert’s music as “incredibly honest”, “rich” and “intimate”. And that is exactly how his interpretations of Schubert’s music sound.
