Born in 2007 into a family of musicians, Alexandra Dovgan does everything faster than anyone else, without however bearing the “stigma” of being a child prodigy. Grigory Sokolov, who has taken her under his wing, sums it up very well: “If her playing is indeed exceptional, nothing in her music indicates that it is a child playing, what we hear is the interpretation of a musician who is already an adult”. After her debut in 2021 at the Lauenen Church, she is back again with a new high-flying recital at the Rougemont Church, starting as she did two years ago with a Partita by the great Johann Sebastian, before turning to the autumn masterpieces of one of his most faithful heirs, Johannes Brahms.
